
Marketing Communications
Responsibilities
Communicate progress, schedules, and issues to management on a regular basis. Plan and develop marketing communications, advertising and promotional programs to promote the acquisition of company products and further the company's sales objectives, including product launch materials. Oversee activities to create, write, produce, photograph and supervise distribution of direct mail campaigns, brochures, videos, sales newsletters, sales tools, etc. Produce communications with a high level of creativity and resourcefulness including a strong sense of initiative and the ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate progress are keys to success. Work closely with advertising agencies and suppliers to develop and implement promotional plans. Manage all communications budgets and expenses. Manage preparation of sales aids and recommends the media best suited to sell specific products or services. Interface with suppliers to produce promotional materials. Budget and manage all major conventions and regional trade shows. Direct activities to schedule manage and create exhibits and produce pre-show mailings.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of and experience in managing key marketing communications activities (brand identity and positioning, PR, promotions and advertising, corporate marketing collateral development, product marketing collateral development, communications quality control, and corporate events planning and management)
• Strong experience mapping brand and communication strategy to business objectives
• Must be comfortable in a start up environment where responsibilities are broadly defined, resources are limited
• Experience building brands in emerging categories a strong plus
• Passion for making a difference in the community
Requirements
• BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or equivalent, MBA a plus
• Previous experience as a senior manager either in a corporate communications/public relations/marketing capacity or at a brand/creative agency
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
